The story was about a little boy who grew up and experienced various illnesses, but a team of doctors was always on hand to help him. I designed the main character for the show — the puppet had to look like the same person as he grew up. I researched ways to make the puppet extend longer. In the end, I found the traditional Bunraku puppet-making method and used hollow baby arms and legs. They are all connected by fabric and, when you pull the string inside, they can extend to a larger size.

I also made an older mask for the puppet. When he grew old, his face changed immediately. Based on the design drawing, I designed each of the small costume props for the puppet.
